DAILY MIRROR I See The Future In My Dreams This article appeared in the Daily Mirror newspaper on 21 October 2005. When the terror bombers struck London on July 7, Chris Robinson was shocked. Shocked, but not surprised. For Chris had seen it all in his dreams - and it wasn't the first time visions of horror had come to him in his sleep. Every morning Chris, 54, jots down his dreams and sends them to Dr Keith Hearne, the first scientist to study "lucid" dreaming under laboratory conditions. He is the perfect guinea pig ... when he was younger he had precognitive dreams two or three times a year. Now, the visions happen almost daily. For three weeks leading up to the July 7 bombings he repeatedly dreamt of snow and dogs. Over the years Chris discovered that dogs in his dream signify terrorists, snow implies imminent danger and meat is code for dead bodies. On the morning of July 1 he emailed Dr Hearne: "Last night I was in a tunnel. There were two explosions, lots of soot and smoke. There are huge great big dogs. This could be London." Three days later (July 4) he emailed Dr Hearne again: "I've had another dream with huge dogs. I'm sure there's going to be a terrorist attack very soon." On July 6 the clairvoyant woke up with memories of his most disturbing dream yet. Chris recalls: "I saw even more mayhem in the dream. That night I watched the news and prayed a terrorist attack wouldn't happen." But the next day he was devastated when he heard about the London bombings. "I did let the authorities know, but there was little anyone could do to prevent the attacks," he says. In the past the clairvoyant has made predictions - and kept complete records - about the Hatfield rail crash, several IRA bombs and a recent plane crash at Los Angeles International Airport. "Chris has provided outstanding early warning of many terrorist activities in the past, especially IRA bombings. He even gave alerts just before the London bombings," says Dr Hearne, a psychologist who's studied dreaming for 30 years. Chris's gift, however, has been a mixed blessing. "When the dreams started occurring regularly I saw my GP. I thought something was wrong with me and he told me I was mad," he says. "But I was saved by police officers and a priest who assured me that whatever was going on in my dreams, was real. I was not mad. "Now thankfully, Dr Hearne acts as an official, unbiased, record keeper. He's got details of my visions going back 15 years and even spent six weeks at my house, monitoring my brain waves." Chris, an office cleaner from Dunstable, Beds, also sends his dreams to 'the Network' a group of psychics based in Arizona. The Network is monitored by a retired US intelligence chief who passes on information to the Whitehouse. British police too have been impressed by Chris's talents. Alex Hall, a former Detective Chief Inspector with the Regional Crime Squad, says: "Over the years Chris has convinced me of the genuine belief he has in his powers. We have worked together on a number of investigations and he has been able to offer helpful information in relation to major crimes and terrorist activities."
