ABOUT

Grant & Jane
As long-term members of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR est. 1882)—like many scientists, philosophers, engineers, and writers before us—we are interested in the scientific investigation of paranormal (or 'psi') phenomena; such as the mysterious case reported in our book, The Scole Experiment, which is currently 'in development' as a movie of the same name.

About Psi People Blog
An A-Z which includes Interesting & Eminent People connected to Psi Phenomena.
From Abraham to Zöllner, Afghans to Zimbabweans, Aztecs to Zulus, Anglicans to Zoroastrians, and Artists to Zoologists, we present an A-Z of people connected in some way with psi phenomena: credulous enthusiasts, extraordinary practitioners, those with a faith, arch-atheists, paranormal claimants, scientific investigators, lay investigators, professional researchers, general researchers, creatives, critics, conjurers, skeptics, cynics, and totally incredulous debunkers.

'Measure what is measurable,
and make measurable what is not'.
Galileo Galilei
Harry Oldfield (1953-2019), was a British biologist with a keen interest in the physics of light. He aimed to demonstrate that there is an invisible universe vibrating below the surface of the visible universe which can be be both measured and 'tuned' for health and psi investigation.

PSI

Psi
Psi (Ψ) [pronounced 'sigh' (with a silent 'p')] encompasses unexplained Mind Powers and Experiences. On this site, 'psi' means all mind powers and experiences that are not explained by known mechanisms, including:
  • ESP [Telepathy, Clairvoyance, and Precognition], aka Remote Viewing;
  • Psychokinesis (PK), aka Telekinesis;
  • Psi Healing;
  • PSIE (Postmortem Survival of Identity Elsewhere), aka 'Survival of Consciousness', 'Life After Death', 'Afterlife';
  • UFO (now sometimes called UAP) Phenomena

Psi-Fi
Psi Fiction ('Psi-Fi')
As writers, we are especially interested in writing that uses psi themes as literary and dramatic devices around the world and throughout history.

Psi themes are often employed by writers to add mystery and increase conflict and tension in the psi fiction genre. We have shortened psi fiction to 'psi-fi'.

Psi-Fi Themes in Literature & Drama
From the earliest Sumerian writing in the third millennium BCE, psi-fi themes have been ubiquitous in literature and drama. Psi-fi is literally everywhere. This suggests that human beings are, and have always been, fascinated with psi phenomena for entertainment.

Psi experience?
The Society for Psychical Research (SPR) is a scientific organisation established in 1882 whose members undertake psi research.

Do you think you have had a psi experience?

Can you help with the data and evidence gathering?
Find out how to report your psi experience to the SPR.

Anyone over 16 can join the SPR.
