Al-Masudi (c. 896-956) An Arab historian, geographer, and traveler. He is sometimes referred to as the 'Herodotus of the Arabs'.
Al-Masudi and The Arabian Nights In 947, Al-Masudi describes a large collection of a thousand tales from all over the ancient world that he calls the Persian Hazar afsana (A Thousand Stories). The stories (some of them psi-themed) circulated for centuries, with new folk tales and renditions being added to the mix over the years.

Alexander Aksakov {aka Aksakof} (1832–1903)
A Russian writer, translator, journalist, editor, state official and psychical researcher, who is credited with having coined the term 'telekinesis'. While living in Germany with his wife and publishing his writings there, he began to spell his name as Alexander Aksakof to accommodate the German spelling style, and this is the name by which he is most known outside of Russia.
Aeschylus (525-456 BCE)
From Classical Greece, there are oracles and prophecies (psi themes), as in Aeschylus' play, Agamemnon, which won first prize at the Dionysia competition in 458 BCE.
